As regional as possible, as seasonal as possible, as sustainable as possible - that is our goal! We are committed to this and work on it every day. We already cooperate with many regional producers and work together with the Hessenpark's own agriculture well and with pleasure. It doesn't get more regional than this.

Look out for our weekly specials with products from the park's own cultivation and breeding.

Our offer of both food and beverages is regional, seasonal, ecological and sustainable.

As a member of Hessen á la Carte, it is our pleasure to cook traditionally and regionally. Our kitchen director, Raphael Reichardt, is also a member of Euro-Toques Deutschland e.V.. The association is committed to preserving traditional recipes, promoting the continued existence of regionally produced products and using high-quality products, such as old varieties of vegetables that are grown here by Hessenpark Landwirtschaft exclusively for Hessenpark gastronomy.

Our next goal: A concept for to-go food and beverages within the park without waste.

What do we do more

Throughout the house we pay attention to the use of energy-saving or LED lamps. We do not use reception lighting or turn on the TV when guests move into their rooms.

When purchasing, we specifically look for energy-saving devices such as minibars and modern LED televisions, conference equipment and the electrical devices in the office and reception.

In the bathrooms, we use aerators for the hand basins and showers and do not use rainfall showers. In addition, all toilets in public areas, the conference area and in the restaurant are equipped with stop buttons for the WC flushes and here, too, aerators prevent the flow of too much water - our most important and increasingly scarce commodity.

As a hotel, we take the towel rule into account and only change them at the express request of the guest. If you support us in this, you as a guest can also act in a sustainable and environmentally conscious way. After all, several tons of towels are washed unnecessarily every day. And the vast quantities of detergent also pollute our waters.

You too can help us to use water sparingly. You can also consciously decide for yourself how often the bed linen is changed.

We use environmentally friendly cleaning, rinsing and washing agents produced in accordance with the "Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)". The products we use are certified according to EMAS III as well as DIN ISO 14001:2015 and DIN ISO 9001:2015. Our supplier has also been awarded the ECOCERT certificate and the EU Ecolabel.

Furthermore, we use water- and energy-saving dishwashers or washing machines. Our dishwasher is additionally equipped with a dosing system that prevents unnecessary consumption of detergent and rinse aid.

Our cleaning agents for surfaces and bathrooms are also specially mixed from concentrate in a dosing system, so that we have been able to reduce the consumption of plastic bottles many times over, as we refill the bottles each time.

In the rooms, we do without additional trash bags in the wastebasket and separate the trash before it is disposed of. We also do not use individually packaged soaps and hygiene products and only offer soap and shower gel in dispensers in order to reduce plastic waste in this way as well.

In the restaurant and at breakfast, we do not use portion packaging. For deliveries, we use reusable packaging and boxes. We have chosen our suppliers in such a way that long journeys are avoided and obtain our processed products from regional traders.

At the reception and in the office we mainly work without printouts in order to save paper and to treat the raw material wood with care. If we use paper, we pay attention to the Blue Angel or the FSC mark.

We want to operate sustainably for our future generations and hope for your support and gratefully accept suggestions for improvement.


Social Responsibility (CSR)

Our hotel has barrier-free access and appropriate toilet facilities. In addition, disabled guests have access to a room suitable for disabled guests.

We practice diversity management and employ both foreign, older and also disabled employees* and give single mothers the opportunity to pursue a profession. We also work closely with the Behindertenwerkstatt Oberursel.
